one of a pair of vases with slender ovoid body, contracted neck and spreading mouth and foot. painted in famille verte enamels with groups of ladies engaged in the four elegant accomplishments, painting, literature, Music and checkers. There is a landscape scene with fishermen around the neck. Trellis pattern diaper band on the shoulder with floral medallions, key-fret at the lip and a band of spirals at the foot. on the base a fungus mark in a double ring.

The handle attached to the body by two lions modelled in high relief playing with brocaded balls. On the top of the handle two dragon heads dispute a pearl. The body of the vessel is decorated with complex floral scrolls and petal panels on a dark blue ground.
